Indonesia's Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that bourse condition is expected to be flourisher in 2010 compared to 2009 as this year's condition is better than the last one, the detikcom online news reported on Monday.

"The situation in 2010 is much different than in 2009. Last year, the global financial crisis affected our activities, prompting us to be more careful," said Sri Mulyani in her opening speech in the Indonesian Capital Market.

She said that in the early 2009, the government and all bourse elements tried hard to grow optimism, triggering confidence so that all market players could work hard and took a calm stance in facing the crisis.

"Therefore, we could get a good achievement in 2009, proved by the bourse's performance that ranked first in the ASEAN and the second best in Asia Pacific," she said.

According to the minister, the achievement and market stability could be maintained due to unstopped communication in the level of government to market players.

She added that the good performance in 2009 was not prompted by sentiment factor but by fundamental performance of public companies in the bourse.

One of the most significant trigger of the market increase was the rise of public companies' profit, reaching 48.5 percent on average through the third quarter of 2009.
