The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said that there are no flaws in China's statistical system and that it has taken steps to ensure the accuracy of the figures on average rural and urban incomes and wages. The NBS statement comes after some sections had expressed doubts on the credibility of the recently published NBS figures showing average urban wages rose 12.9 percent in the first half to 14,938 yuan, despite the financial crisis.
