Between July 1 and December 31 tickets to the World Expo 2010 Shanghai will be available for the public to buy from China Travel Service (Hong Kong). Ticket sales to overseas customers will be initiated at the same time.

Starting July 1, all buyers will receive their tickets on the spot. Domestic purchasers can buy tickets at 2,796 outlets nationwide set up by the four authorized sales agents in China — China Mobile, China Telecom, the Bank of Communications and China Post, as well as through these sales agents' websites and hotlines.

It is estimated that over 3 million tickets were sold during the first pre-sale phase between March 27 and June 30.
