Private equity firm Carlyle Group said it acquired a 17.3-percent stake in one of China's biggest baby-formula companies for an undisclosed amount. Carlyle's move to invest in Yashili Group Co follows several similar acquisitions in China's dairy industry by private equity firms. In June, Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co and CDH Investments invested in Maanshan Modern Farming Co.
