China Chamber of Commerce of Metals Minerals & Chemicals Importers and Exporters(CCCMC), China Rubber Industry Association (RIA) and all Chinese tire enterprises, who are facing sanctionative tariffs from the U.S. authorities, jointly published a letter of complain on September 12. The letter showed related Chinese enterprises and industry associations' strong objection to the US' decision. They have already urged the Chinese government to using strong retaliatory trade measures.

Zhou Xuehai, secretaries general of China Chamber of International Commerce said that the chamber would again express Chinese industries' attitude towards the US' sanction on Chinese tires to the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. He noted that the US' protectionism measures would have severe impact on free trade principles and global cooperation to tackle the current crisis.

Professor Lei Da, vice dean of the School of Economics, Renmin University of China, pointed out that special safeguard measures would directly affect China-US trade relationship, and it would also affect the two sides' coordination in relevant international affairs.

"We are disappointed about Obama's decision," said Wang Fengju of China's RIA.
