China's trade figures continued to fall year-on-year in June, but the rate of decline eased over the May figure, vice commerce minister Chen Jian said in Beijing on July 2.

Chen told a news conference that in the first half year certain products rebounded. However, he did not give more details about trade data.

In the first five months, China's trade fell 24.7 percent from a year earlier, with exports down 21.8 percent. The May figure for exports was down 26.4 percent year on year.
