In the first half of 2009, the supply of residential land in China dropped year-on-year, but land for welfare housing increased by 36.3 percent year-on-year. In particular, supply of land for affordable housing rose by 33.3 percent year-on-year.
In the first half of this year, supply of residential land in China witnessed a 9.5 percent decline year-on-year. The supply of ordinary commercial residential land dropped by 15.1 percent year-on-year, accounting for 84.1 percent of the total residential land supply, and representing a drop of 4.5 percent year-on-year.
3754.37 hectares of land for welfare housing have been supplied, an increase of 36.3 percent year-on-year, accounting for 16.7 percent of the total residential land, and representing an increase of 5.6 percent year-on-year
The supply of land for affordable housing accounts for 15.1 percent of the total residential land supply, representing an increase of 4.9 percent year-on-year; the supply of land for low-rent housing increased by 72 percent, accounting for 1.6 percent of the total residential land supply, representing an increase of 0.7 percent year-on-year.
