Biggest hydro-power station in Guizhou starts trial run
|
The Goupitan hydropower station, a key part of the "west-east power transfer" project, is the largest of its kind to be built in the history of Guizhou Province in southwest China. It has a total installed capacity is 3 mln kilowatts. There are five hydro-generating units altogether. The capacity of a single unit reaches 600,000 kilowatts. At present, the first unit has started its trial run, and will be put into production in the second half year. The other four are still under going installation.
