Oil surges as Alaska pipeline remains closed

Crude prices surged on Tuesday as the Trans Alaska Pipeline System remained closed.

Light, sweet crude for February delivery rose 1.86 dollars to 91.11 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
