The Ari Region, known as the "Roof of the World," is located at 4,500 meters above sea level with thin and clear air. This region is rich in solar energy sources, with 3,370 hours sunshine duration and 189 kilocalories per square centimeter of solar radiation per year on average (Xinhua Photo/ Pu Bu Zha Xin).

Thanks to the "Ari Photoelectricity Plan of Tibet" implemented by the state, this region has fully taken advantage of its solar energy sources and boosted the development of a "Sunshine Economy." The technology of solar energy has been put into practice, such as in solar energy stoves, solar water heaters, solar power heating and solar photovoltaic stations. These innovations not only improve people's daily lives, but also help enterprises make profits.
