"We will be discussing a number of initiatives, including new proposals for supporting small states in accessing funds for tackling climate change, and new projects to ensure that the voices of small states are better heard in global debates. We will also be talking about our raised levels of activity to strengthen governance in the Pacific, and the options to do more in this critical area," Sharma added.
During his first official visit to the Pacific state, Sharma will call on Vanuatu's Prime Minister Edward Natapei and meet with Vanuatu Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Joe Natuman.
The Commonwealth secretary-general will also hold separate talks with other Pacific leaders at the PIF Meeting.
