Strong explosions rock Libyan capital

At least three suspected NATO airstrikes hit targets in Tajura, a suburb of the Libyan capital Tripoli, Xinhua correspondent said Wednesday.
No words have been issued from the Libyan government regarding the casualties and damage caused by the explosions.
Warplanes hit Tripoli several times an hour overnight after day- long raids that shook the ground and sent thundering sound waves across the capital on Tuesday.
Libyan government spokesman Moussa Ibrahim said that 31 people had been killed in 60 strikes.
Also, a huge fire erupted in Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's vast Bab al-Aziziya residential compound in Tripoli on Tuesday.
At least 15 loud explosions rocked Tripoli midday Tuesday as NATO airstrikes hit a military base and Gaddafi's compound.
Gaddafi's compound was under "intensive continuous bombardment, " according to Libya's state TV, which reported buildings and infrastructure in the area of Gaddafi's compound were destroyed in the strikes.
