India signs MoU with AU to establish capacity building institutions in Africa

India and the African Union (AU) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that enables India to establish 14 capacity building institutions in different member states of the AU.

The signing of the MoU was done on the sideline of the Meeting of India-Africa Foreign Ministers that was held at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, prior to the second India- Africa Forum Summit due to kick off on Tuesday.

The Indian side led by S.M. Krishna, minister of external affairs, has joined some 15 African foreign ministers for the meeting on Monday.
