Angolan Minister of Economy Abraao Gourgel left Luanda on Tuesday to attend the World Economic Forum on Africa in Cape Town, South Africa, which was set for May 4-6.

Speaking to reporters at Luanda's international airport, Abraao Gourgel said Angola would manifest its all-out development goals at the international forum, which was expected to attract some 700 government officials and world business leaders to discuss potentials of the African continent as one of the fastest growing regions.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimated the Sub-Sahara region will record a 5.5 percent growth in 2011 and 5.9 percent in 2012.

Participants of the event were expected to explore investment opportunities in mining, energy, agriculture, infrastructures and tourism, which were believed to be growth engines for African countries.
