Sri Lanka's National Freedom Front(NFF) staged a protest Thursday to protest the attack against Libya.
"This is a shameless act by the West to bomb Libya. They must stop it immediately", Weerakumara Dissanayake, an NFF legislator told the protesters.
Several hundreds of NFF activists gathered opposite the UN office in Colombo and burnt used tyres in protest.
NFF is a coalition partner of the ruling party headed by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The protest came after External Affairs Minister G.L. Peiris on Wednesday told parliament that Sri Lanka does not approve the air strikes on Libya.
