Ukraine to evacuate citizens from Libya

Ukraine is ready to bring its citizens home from Libya, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Alexander Dykusarov said on Tuesday.

He said a plane belonging to the Defense Ministry is ready to fly from Kiev's international Boryspil airport to Tripoli on Feb. 22. The airplane has more than 200 seats.

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, a total of 330 Ukrainian citizens are officially registered in Libya. Most of them are medics. 170 people are ready to go home.

Many countries are evacuating their citizens from Libya and issued warnings against traveling to this crisis-hit country.
