The United States would continue its support for the Tunisian revolution, as well as freedom of speech, human rights and democracy, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Jeffrey D. Feltman said Monday, Tunisia's state media said.

Feltman met with Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamel Morjane to discuss bilateral relations, official agency TAP reported.

In a related event, the U.S. issued a communique on Sunday, announcing the revocation of diplomatic visas for the relatives of Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

Five relatives of Ben Ali arrived in Canada in a private jet on Sunday. Most of them were carrying permanent resident permits.
