Tunisian government spokesperson Taieb Baccouche denied reports saying a high committee is under discussion to replace the interim government, official TAP news agency reported Monday.

Baccouche, also the education minister, was quoted as saying the negotiation between politicians is about filling the ministerial vacancies, after five ministers quit the new-born interim government.

Dubai-based Al Arabya reported earlier on Monday that the Tunisian politicians have been negotiating the establishment of a high committee that brings together "wise men" to replace the national unity government.
