Egyptian senior officials said Sunday that the riots in Tunisia would not occur in Egypt after political unrest ousted Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali two days ago.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ali Aboul told reporters in Egypt's coastal resort Sharm El Sheikh before an Arab economic summit that Tunisia's political crisis will not spread to Arab countries because situation of each country is different.

Addressing a news conference in Sharm El Sheikh, Egyptian Industry Minister Rashid Mohammed Rashid said Egyptian citizens will not be affected by rising price thanks to the system of ration cards that includes the vast majority of Egyptians, according to Egypt's MENA news agency.
