Media reports said at least four demonstrators have been shot dead in Cote d'Ivoire, where clashes have erupted following a disputed presidential run-off.

According to the reports, AFP reporters saw three bodies with bullet wounds in the northern district of Adjame, while a fourth body was seen in Koumassi in the south of the city.

The clashes erupted as troops backing Cote d'Ivoire's incumbent Laurent Gbagbo clashed with protestors supporting his rival Alassane Ouattara.
