The new electoral platform will be announced during the NDP annual conference which has been set for November 9 and 10 by Egyptian President and NDP leader Hosni Mubarak, the party's Secretary General Safwat el-Sherif said on Wednesday during a press conference.
Egypt's parliamentary elections are to kick off late in November.
The platform will be released ahead of the start of election campaigns, el-Sherif said following a meeting with President Mubarak.
El-Sherif said he posted Mubarak on the method which the party decided to adopt in selecting its candidates for the parliamentary elections, pointing out that the Egyptian president highlighted the importance of selecting the best candidates to represent the party in order to reinforce confidence with people.
The NDP will conduct polls in which around 2 million members will select the party's runners for the elections, he said.
