France, Tunisia's key trade partner, eyes more businesses in the north African country in a move to further bolster economic ties, the French-Tunisian Trade Chamber said on Monday.

With the target, both partners will hold the 8th session of French-Tunisian partnership this month to shed more light on the north African market assets, investment climate and the promising sectors, the chamber said in a statement.

The three-day meeting, starting from Oct. 26, aims at boosting cooperation links between the two countries by organizing workshops on real estate, tourism and infrastructure businesses opportunities in Tunisia.

Tunisia drew 2.1 billion Tunisian dinars (1.638 US billion) of foreign direct investment last year due to higher inflows from key tourism and energy sectors.

About 1,200 French firms were set in Tunisia, helping to create120,000 jobs. (1 U.S. dollar = 1.282 Tunisian dinar)
