Relatives of Jordanian Salafist Jihadists detained during clashes with police forces staged a sit- in Sunday, calling for their release.

The relatives of the detained Salafist Jihadists are scheduled to hold sit-ins everyday in front of the prime minister's office until the release of the jailed radical Islamists.

The demonstrators complained that their jailed relatives were not covered by a recent Royal pardon that allowed for the release of some 4,000 prisoners involved in misdemeanors, violations and criminal acts.

In April, Jordanian security authorities arrested 103 Salafist Jihadists who clashed with policemen in Zarqa town during a demonstration and injured over 80 policemen with bars, knives and daggers.
