Three Palestinians were killed early Saturday and others wounded in what witnesses and security sources said an Israeli airstrike at a car in southern Gaza Strip.

A health emergency spokesman said burnt bodies of three people arrived at the hospital in the central Gaza Strip town of Deir al-Balah, while a fourth man sustained serious injuries.

The car was traveling on the main Saladin road when it blew up in fire, the witnesses said, adding that an unmanned Israeli drone fired a missile at the white Subaru car.

The identities of the dead are still unknown.

Israel has killed three Islamic Jihad militants in the past few days though Gaza armed groups announced commitment to a fragile ceasefire a week ago after a short wave of violence between the two sides.
