Five protesters injured in clashes in S. Yemen

At least five protesters were injured in clashes with the police when they, along with other 500 anti-government protesters, burned a building of the local council office on Monday evening in southern province of Lahj, a local official told Xinhua.

"Five young protesters were wounded by gunshot during clashes with policemen and were then rushed to the hospital after they stormed into the building of local council office and set it on fire in Lahj's capital city Al-Houta ," the official told Xinhua by phone, asking not to be named.
