Palestinians in the Gaza Strip showed different reactions to the so called "Palestine Papers" revealed by the Al-Jazeera news channel which chronicle the Israeli- Palestinian peace talks since 1999.

Since Sunday night, the Qatari-based satellite channel has been unveiling papers showing that the Palestinian National Authority ( PNA), Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian negotiators have been betraying the Palestinians in substantial issues like Jerusalem, the refugees' rights and security affairs.

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat has been the one who didn't stop defending the Palestinian leadership's position. He has showed up on Al-Jazeera screen twice since Sunday, where he accused the news channel of forging the papers, and tried to show the real ones.

Millions of Arabs and Palestinians have been watching Al- Jazeera over the past four days as the entire issue has become the gossip in every house. Many people in the Gaza Strip regard the papers as evidence of PNA's treason against the Palestinian cause.

"I believe that what Al-Jazeera has so far published is clear evidence of the PNA treason against the Palestinian cause," said Mohamed Madi, a 35-year-old employee in the deposed government of Hamas, adding "the papers also showed that the authority abandoned armed resistance."
