Iranian FM arrives in Baghdad on official visit

Iran's acting Foreign Minister Ali- Akbar Salehi arrived in Baghdad Wednesday on an official visit to Baghdad with the aim of promoting bilateral, an official Iraqi television reported.

Salehi is expected to meet with Iraqi top officials to discuss the relations between two neighboring countries and the situation in the region, the state-run television of Iraqia said.

Salehi's visit is the third for high-level officials of the region after the visits of Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit and Jordanian Prime Minister Samir al-Rifaie following the vote of confidence on Maliki's cabinet on Dec. 21 last year.
