A Palestinian woman died on Saturday after suffering tear gas inhalation a day earlier when Israeli forces dispersed the demonstration in the West Bank, doctors said.

Jawaher Abu Rahma, 35, breathed in a large amount of tear gas during the weekly demonstration against the construction of the West Bank barrier near Ramallah city, witnesses said earlier.

The doctors said that the amount of fumes suffocated the young woman.

Two years ago, Rahma's brother was killed during conflicts between protestors and Israeli forces.

International pro-Palestinian activists participate in such rallies against the building of the cement wall that separates Israeli and Palestinian communities in the West Bank.
