The deposed prime minister of the Hamas government in Gaza Ismail Haneya said on Friday that the plans of the United States and Israel in the Middle East are retreating and the Palestinians will win in the end.

Haneya told the Lesser Bairam, or Eid al-Fittr's prayers in Jabalia town in northern Gaza Strip that there are signs of the Palestinian victory "after defeating the American and Zionist plans which were failed to pass."

"The American plan was defeated in both Iraq and Afghanistan as well as in the Palestinian territories after seeking to strike the Arab and Islamic entities and trying to pass this plan to eliminate the Palestinian cause," said Haneya.

He also said that the Israeli plan "suffers from retreat and lost the support of the international community," adding that Israel had lost the ability to expand and impose its Zionist vision "due to the Palestinians resistance."

Meanwhile, Haneya accused the Palestinian National Authority ( PNA) of committing three big political mistakes during the holy month of Ramadan, the first being agreeing to move to the direct negotiations with Israel.

"The second mistake was waging a war against Islam in the West Bank and spreading corruption," Haneya said, adding "the third mistake was arresting the men of resistance in the West Bank following the attacks in Hebron and Ramallah."

He called on the PNA to withdraw its measures and practices in the West Bank "because you (PNA) will have no future if the situation continues like that."

The PNA agreed to go for a U.S. sponsored direct peace talks with Israel to resolve permanent status issues amid strong criticism of Palestinian factions and political powers.
