An Iranian lawmaker on Sunday called for fair talks with the West in the upcoming nuclear talks, the English language satellite Press TV reported.
Kazem Jalali said talks will be constructive if the West take a fair and purposeful stance, the report said.
"The West has called for holing talks with Tehran" and the talks would definitely be constructive should be fair and purposeful and protect Iran's nuclear rights, Jalali was quoted as saying.
Jalali said the Iranian parliament has invited a European delegation to visit Iran in the near future and hold talks with senior Iranian officials.
He expressed hope that the visit would portray the real image of the Islamic Republic and remove misunderstandings, according to the report.
Iran has already announced that it is ready for talks with the Vienna Group, comprising the United States, Russia, France and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which are involved in the nuclear fuel swap talks with Iran.
Despite Western countries' accusation of trying to develop nuclear weapons, Iran has reiterated that its nuclear program is aimed at civilian use.
