Five people were killed and 11 others wounded in two bomb attacks in Baghdad and the western province of Anbar on Monday, the police said.

In Baghdad, two civilians were killed and four others wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in the morning at the al-Shurta al- Rabia neighborhood in southwestern part of the capital, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

In western Iraq, unidentified gunmen planted at the house of a policeman with explosive charges in the town of al-Garma, east of Fallujah city, some 50 km west of Baghdad, and blew them up at dawn, a source from Anbar's operations command told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

The blasts killed the policeman, his wife and his 3-year-old daughter and wounded seven others, including his family members and neighbors, the source said.

The blast badly damaged the policeman's house and caused damages to three nearby houses, the source added.
