The family of Abdul-Salam al-Hiela, a Yemeni detainee at Guantanamo Bay, accused the U.S. prison administration of attempting to strangle al-Hiela.
"The attempt to strangle al-Hiela came after a number of Yemeni detainees had been strangled by the prison's guards at Guantanamo Bay," the statement said.
The committee said it obtained "forensic reports from Switzerland-based European University, in which they scientifically proved that two Yemeni and two Saudi detainees who died in prison did not commit suicide, but were strangled by the prison's guards."
According to local media, al-Hiela was arrested in Egypt in September 2008.
