Mubarak discusses with Hariri regional issues, Lebanese situation

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak held talks on Thursday with visiting Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri who paid his first visit to Egypt after assuming the premiership of the Lebanese government.

Talks covered the latest Arab and regional developments, the situation in Lebanon, means to enhance bilateral ties and a number of other issues of mutual interest, reported Egyptian official MENA news agency.

Earlier on Wednesday, Hariri held talks with Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif on bilateral relations and Egypt's constant support for Lebanon.

After his meeting with Mubarak, Hariri praised the Egyptian leader for his continued support of Lebanon.

Hariri wrapped up on Thursday evening a two-day visit to Egypt, focusing on means of enhancing bilateral relations in economic, trade and investment fields and issues of mutual concern.
