Foreign ministers of six Arab states met here Saturday in a bid to enhance Arab unity over the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis.

Top diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon, the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and Jordan attended the meeting which also joined by Amr Moussa, Secretary General of the Cairo-based Arab League (AL).

The meeting, called by Jordan, aims to reiterate the Arab world's commitment to the Middle East peace process and the two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh told Xinhua.

The meeting came after a new right-wing government rose to power in Israel and proceeds Jordan's King Abdullah II's upcoming visit to Washington.

The king is expected to relay the Arab stance on the peace process with Israel during his talks with U.S. President Barack Obama and other senior officials, said Judeh.
