French President Nicolas Sarkozy will visit Palestinian territories on Sunday after a visit to Israel, Palestinian sources said.

Sarkozy will meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Bethlehem city after meeting Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, the sources said.

Sarkozy is expected to invite Israel and the Palestinian Authority to participate in the Euro-Mediterranean summit which will be held in Paris next month.

Sarkozy and Abbas will also inaugurate a Palestinian industrial zone in the holy city of Bethlehem. The project is expected to provide 1,500 to 2,000 job opportunities for Palestinians.

This is Sarkozy's first visit to the Palestinian territories in the capacity of a president, the sources added.
