Britons suspected of fighting for Taliban detained in Afghanistan

"We can confirm that British forces have detained two individuals in Afghanistan who claim to be British nationals," a MoD spokesman said, declining to comment further on the issue.
British Foreign Office gave the same statement, saying the embassy is providing assistance.
