Suspected ETA member Eneko Gogeaskoetxea has been arrested in the British university town of Cambridge, Spanish press reported Thursday.

Gogeaskoetxea, who was caught in a joint operation of British and Spanish police, was accused of involvement in the murder of a police officer next to the Guggenheim museum in the north Spanish port of Bilbao back in October 1997.

His detention took place just 24 hours after another ETA member Daniel Derguy was arrested in France on suspicion of participating in a series of terrorist attacks on Spanish soil.

The ETA declared a permanent ceasefire at the start of 2011 and the two arrests above have brought the total of arrested ETA members to 43 since then.
