Light plane crash kills one in Moscow region

A light plane crashed in southern Moscow region Monday morning, killing one of the two pilots aboard, the Interfax news agency reported.

The Eurostar jet crashed at 10:21 local time (0621 GMT) in the Serpukhov district of Moscow region, Interfax quoted a police source as saying.

One of the pilots on board died of injuries and another was wounded in the crash, the source said.

According to preliminary information, the trainer plane belonged to the Moscow regional aero-club.

The accident was under investigation, the source said.
