7 wounded in bomb explosion Istanbul

Seven people, including a woman and a police, were injured in a bomb explosion in central Istanbul on Thursday.

Following the blast, the people injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

The blast occurred in garbage container under the Koc overpass close to the Akmerkes shopping mall in the Levent district at about 9:15 local time (0615 GMT).

Two buses and one car were also damaged by the blast.

Police, ambulances and fire fighter vehicles have arrived at the scene of explosion. Traffic is closed since the police are searching more bombs in the area.
