Ukraine will dispose solid rocket fuel by the year 2015, said President Viktor Yanukovych Tuesday during a meeting dedicated to the launch of an industrial facility for the fuel utilizing in the town of Pavlohrad in Central region of Ukraine.

"Last year I had a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama. We have concluded a treaty under which the United States will give 35 million U.S. dollars to be used to utilize missile fuel in Ukraine," the president told while adding: "I expect that Ukraine will finish all the technological stages not later than in 2013. It means that by 2015 we will dispose 100 percent of the solid rocket fuel that is stored at Pavlohrad Chemical Plant."

The Pavlohrad Chemical Plant is the only storehouse of rocket fuel in Ukraine. There are nearly 5,000 tons of it on the territory of the plant. According to the president, it is dangerous for the region's environment.

The state programme of solid rocket fuel disposal was adopted six years ago. In 2008 Ukraine completed negotiations with Russia and the U.S. on the way of fuel's utilization.
