Death toll from a blast at a factory in an industrial neighborhood in Turkish capital Ankara has risen to six, Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay said.

Besir Atalay earlier put the casualty at four.

Atalay said that 27 people were injured in the explosion in Ostim region.

The cause of the explosion was yet to be determined.

Two floors of the four-story OSTIM Mega Center building collapsed in the blast and windows of nearby buildings and cars were shattered.

Atalay said sniffer dogs had found no trace of life under the rubble, adding search and rescue efforts were still underway.

Nearly 80 people were working in the factory located in the suburb of Ostim, Ankara's main industrial area.
