Airbus delivers record number of corporate jets in 2010

European planemaker Airbus delivered a record number of 15 corporate jets in 2010, with a total worth of more than 1.5 billion U.S. dollars, the France-based company said Thursday in a statement.
The sales list included A318 Elites, Airbus Corporate Jetliners (ACJs) and A320 Prestiges, the company said.
In 2010, Airbus also won new orders for seven aircraft from the A318 Elite/Airbus ACJ/A320 Prestige Family, plus one widebody A330/ A340.
The manufacturer said the orders and deliveries were both for customers and operators in Aisa, Europe and the Middle East, including private users and government clients.
"Like our airliner business, the market for our corporate jets is worldwide and growing ..." said Airbus Chief Operating Officer John Leahy.
