Russia's state gas monopoly Gazprom would sign an amendment to the agreement on gas deliveries to Poland within days, Polish Minister of Economy Waldemar Pawlak said Monday.
So far the document has not been completed as some technical issues are yet to be solved.
"I hope within several days we will sign it," Pawlak was quoted as saying by the Itar-tass news agency.
Pawlak was expected to have further talks on the issue later with Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko.
Poland and Russia reached an agreement on a draft contract to increase gas delivery to Poland to 10 billion cubic meters annually following talks in Moscow on Oct. 17.
