Slovak FM visits Czech Republic to promote bilateral ties

New Slovak Foreign Minister Mikulas Dzurinda arrived on Thursday in the Czech capital Prague to start his first official trip abroad after his appointment.
He met new Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas and his Czech counterpart Karel Schwarzenberg. Their talks centered on bilateral relations, their cooperation with Poland and Hungary in Visegrad Treaty Organization and on issues of energy supplies.
Schwarzenberg, who also was appointed few days ago, said during a press conference: "It is a good tradition in relations between our countries that first official exchanges are always between our two countries. I also wanted to go to Bratislava, but Mr. Dzurinda offered very obligingly to come to Prague."
Dzurinda stressed: "I have always been and I will always be immensely interested in not only maintaining but also developing the above-standard relations on the basis of our common activities. "
He added that the relations between them are literally brotherly. Both nations lived together till 1992 in common state of Czechoslovakia.
