Moscow will assist Vietnam in building a subway in its capital Hanoi, the chief of the Moscow metro said Saturday.
"The issue is being considered and discussed," Dmitry Gayev told RIA Novosti news agency.
He said a metro construction agreement was reached in February, when a Moscow government delegation visited Vietnam.
But he added that until now no time frame has been set yet.
The Moscow metro is the world's second busiest and one of the most popular underground transport systems. It is known worldwide for its rich decoration of stations with art at the epoch of socialist realism.
