The twin brother of the man allegedly responsible for massacres in Britain was among 12 people killed before the gunman took his own life, CNN reported Friday.

David Bird, the 52-year-old twin brother of alleged shooter Derrick Bird, was found dead at his home in the English village of Lamplugh, The media cited police source as saying.

Twelve people were killed and at least 25 others injured in Britain Wednesday by suspect Derrick Bird, who carried out a series of shootings in Cumbria, northern England.

This incident is the worst in the UK since 16 children and their teacher were killed at a school in Dunblane, Scotland, in 1996.

Police are still investigating the gunman’s motive in going on such cruel shooting spree.
