A major blaze on Thursday morning engulfed a four storey building here, causing no death or injury, a spokesman for London Fire Brigade said.
More than 100 firefighters tried to tackle the fire engulfing half of the roof in flames at a restaurant and office in Shoreditch, east London.
Crews were called in the early morning and a total of 20 engines arrived to tackle the flames, the London Fire Brigade added.
A number of roads in the area had been closed and ambulances stood by residential buildings surrounding the property, but there were no plans to evacuate.
