The Czech Post Office issued on Wednesday evening a stamp commemorating Shanghai World Exposition 2010.

The stamp in form of a special sheet has a face value of 35 Czech koruna. Though it was issued in a limited number of 70,000 copies, it will be also sold at Czech pavilion in Shanghai to Chinese philatelists. Due to the limited number of stamps that will be circulated, their value is expected to grow.

The stamps dedicated to World expositions have had a long tradition in former Czechoslovakia and later in Czech Republic. First such set was issued 52 years ago commemorating the Expo 1958 in Brussels.
