A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.2 hit Georgia early Tuesday morning, according to a report by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The USGS posted on its website that the tremor occurred at 3:41a.m. local time (2241 GMT), with its epicenter some 95 miles (155 km) northwest of the Georgian capital Tbilisi. It had a depth of 10 km.
There was no immediate report of injuries or damage caused by the huge quake.
