A Macedonian plane carrying the country's prime minister made a forced landing on Thursday while en route from Brussels to Paris.

The plane was carrying Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski to Paris to meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Macedonia's state-run agency MIA cited government's sources as saying.

It was reported that the onboard computer system and the radar equipment of the plane failed while it flew at an altitude of 6,000 meters. The plane got back to Brussels safely.

The meeting between Gruevski with Sarkozy has been changed from Thursday to Friday, and the Macedonian government delegation will take a train to Paris instead of flying.
